Trollhaugen Farm
Gorgeous old farm with clamping, hiking trails and farm events.
“Check out these solar panels working in harmony with the house, close to invisible on the roof, yet very productive. The sun supplies the energy and a battery pack keeps essentials, like the lights and essential appliances, powered when our variable New England weather brings us a power outage.”

Ok, so WHY do I like ducks so much? Oh my God. First, Bahman says they are OCD. Hilarious animals with some of the best choreographed dance moves in the animal kingdom. Second, they can be such party animals, and have extended group squawks loud enough to raise the dead! Third, they eat stuff we dislike, such as weeds, bugs and seeds. Fourth, they play tag with each other on land and in the water. Fifth, they are happy jacks, scooting around snacking with glee. Sixth, I love that they clue me into to birds flying overhead by cocking their head to the side so they can see in the air. I immediately know to look up, cuz something interesting is going on. Seventh, they love to swim, dive, and eat. And finally, and perhaps most significant, they like to be part of a flock, in a way that chickens do not. What a great animal!
So here is my three year project... turn this hillside into pasture. I need some more piggies to get it started!
